Successstories.co.in recently published a feature on CommonFloor.com, its journey from 2007 to being India’s largest residential community portal and its founders: Vikas Malpani, Sumit Jain and Lalit Mangal.
Started from a garage in 2007, till date it has served over 28,000 communities comprising of over 2,500,000 houses and has maintained its presence across 105 cities in India.
The one stop portal was founded by Sumit Jain, Lalit Mangal and Vikas Malpani with the main motive of providing residential requirements to the prospective buyers, helping in searching for an apartment, assisting interactions within residential communities and other owners and linking people to appropriate and relevant service providers via vendor connect.
Also, the founders felt that a transparent and trusted platform is needed to connect apartment owners as there is a lack of proper communication between the buyers and the owners leading to failed real estate deal.
Sunit Jain and Lalit Mangal are Computer Science graduates from IIT Roorkee and have past work experience at Oracle India. Vikas Malpani is a Computer Science Graduate from JSSATE, Bangalore and has previously worked for SAP Labs India. He was also one of the top 20 innovators in the country recognized by "MIT Technology Review India magazine”.
Commonfloor.com, apart from providing apartments also assists in managing accounts for communities and discussing their issues online with the apartment management software and provides significant information on tax and property law.
